On October 12, 2021, the Fremont City Council awarded the construction contract for the Fremont Boulevard Safe and Smart Corridor Project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Bear Electrical Solutions, Inc., in the amount of $6,172,198.18. The construction contract for the project was advertised online on August 10, 2021, and bids were opened on September 14, 2021.

Bear Electrical Solutions, Inc. is an experienced contractor that has previously completed a number of traffic signal modernization and fiber optic installation projects in Fremont. Bear Electrical Solutions, Inc. is currently also the City’s on-call contractor for traffic signal maintenance services and has extensive knowledge about the City’s overall traffic signal and fiber optic infrastructure.
